Trace Route Results
Trace Route Results
Press , select Tools, Trace Route, and the Results tab.
To succeed, a Trace Route command shall be acknowledged by the
network device within a given delay. Typically a Trace Route command
can fail for the following reasons:
³ The IP address is unavailable or unknown.
³ The time allowed to perform the Trace Route command is too
short.
³ The remote device is not supporting ICMP messaging.
The Trace Route results are displayed with the following columns:
IMPORTANT
Test results and statistics are cleared when changing test or tool
selection. It is highly advised to generate and save the report once
the current test is completed. See Report Generation on page 79 to
generate and save a report file.
