Copper Test 89
7 Pair Detective Test
The Pair Detective test consists of a series of 10 consecutive individual
tests and applies a high voltage to the line. It automatically analyzes
collected results and gives plain language indications of possible faults.
Before proceeding with this test, ensure the line is inactive.
At the start of any test, the unit checks for the presence of dangerous
voltage and an active circuit. If dangerous voltage is detected, a dialog box
is displayed to inform you and the test will stop. If an active circuit is
detected, a dialog box is displayed to ask you whether or not to proceed
with the test.
Pair Detective
The Pair Detective page displays a summary of the pass/fail status,
DC-Voltage/Current and Isolation for each selected wire pair, as well as
other detailed results of the Pair Detective test.
To access the Pair Detective Page:
1. From the Copper main menu Test Groups, select Pair Detective test
.
2. From the Tests menu, select Pair Detective to start the test.
