RFL-4-Wire
The RFL-4-Wire or separate good pair test allows you to determine the
distance to a short, ground, or battery cross on a faulty cable conductor
using two separate good cable conductors.
Connect a strap from the faulted wire to both conductors of the good pair.
The connection diagram shows you how to connect the cables to the unit.
Note: Results are more accurate but less forgiving than a 2-wire setup because
the 4-wire setup requires you to connect the faulted wire conductor to the
Ring (red) jack only.
To access RFL-4-Wire Test:
1. From the Copper main menu Test Groups, select RFL test
.
2. From the Tests menu, select RFL test to start the test.
3. Tap RFL-4-Wire tab to open the window.
