Improvement for FOAs on EXFO Modules

EXFO has made improvements that will increase the life of the FOA

receptacles for the following instruments:

³ IQS-3250

³ IQS-3250B

³ IQS-9403

³ OHS-1700-UH

The improvement features a longer thread than the one on the older

models. The wear of the threads is decreased significantly as the holding

pressure is now distributed over five threads rather than two.

Note: Even if the number of threads slightly changes the distance from the end

ferrule, it does not have an impact on measurement uncertainty with an

integrating cavity.

Modules with the improvement are identified on their faceplates by the

letters "LT" (Long thread). In the case of the OHS-1700 Optical Head, you

will also notice a small dot next to the port.
